The Crossroads theme park is part of and contained within the Stone Mountain Memorial Park. The park is Georgia’s most popular attraction exceeding even the nearby Six Flags Over Georgia theme park located west of Atlanta. Crossroads is a representation of a common late 19th and early 20th century southern Georgia town. It includes many stores and shops offering a variety of products many of which are related to early Georgia history. Some shops include craft demonstration areas where artisans demonstrate early American craft such as glass blowing and horse shoeing. Some of the shops are leased by independent business people and may be “seasonal”—here today and gone tomorrow. But while they are present they can be quite interesting. There is plenty for the whole family to enjoy such as the Sky Hike, Great Barn, and 4-D Theater. All of this lies in an area with an overwhelming view of the face of Stone Mountain as a background. During the Christmas season, Crossroads dresses up with lighting unmatched anywhere. This is part of my Stone Mountain Memorial Park collections for Google Earth.
