The KB Home GreenHouse is an innovative home designed with Martha Stewart and is the 13th in Builder Magazine’s Concept Home series. In addition to its aesthetic beauty, the home achieves a new level of environmentally friendly building for KB Home. This is KB Home’s first net-zero energy home, which means it produces more energy than it consumes over the span of a year. Additionally, the home has been recognized with a variety of efficiency certifications including the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR® and WaterSense qualification, LEED for Homes Platinum status and Environments for Living Green.
In addition to the home design being influenced by Martha Stewart, one of the country’s leading lifestyle experts, the KB Home GreenHouse is slated to be the first net-zero energy, single-family home in the Builder Magazine Concept Home series.
