Here is a collection of all the buildings on Main Street in downtown Evansville. The street is an eclectic mix of buildings and architectural styles that has evolved over time. It was converted to a pedestrian mall during the 1970s, but has since been restored to vehicle traffic (some of the buildings still have the modern awnings that were added at the time). Many of the buildings have been renovated in recent years and converted to condominiums on the upper floors. A new arena at the far end of the street is helping to generate new interest in many of the older buildings along the strip.
