Evansville is the third-largest city in the state of Indiana. It is located on a horseshoe bend of the Ohio River in the southwestern corner of the state. Founded in 1812, the city grew out of the bustling river trade that developed during the steamboat era of the 1800s. The downtown area boasts a number of historic buildings as well as a historic district that features the city's grandest Victorian-era homes. The seat of Vanderburgh County, the city serves a large trade area in Indiana, Kentucky, and Illinois. This 3D collection contains approved models in the Google Earth layer that were created by myself or in collaboration with other modelers.
