The Bulgarian Orthodox Church is the oldest autocephalous Slavic Orthodox Church in the world, being recognized by the Patriarchate of Constantinople in 927. This collection includes some of the numerous and different in style Bulgarian churches many of which remain beyond the current political borders of Bulgaria but were once part of the Bulgarian Church.
