Copenhagen has been comprehensively represented on GE since 2009, when Google started publishing the 3D models of the city prepared by the municipal authorities. These models combined with other published arial photos and Google Street view images made it possible to produce 3D models of almost all building in the Danish Capital. Some models apparently were produced by Google. Other models were produced by numerous individuals around the World. As a result Copenhagen today is one of the best 3D documented cities. Most models, however, have been based on ‘Building Maker’, with its limitations in terms of accuracy and quality of textures. The purpose of my MYT 2012 contribution has been to enhance the existing modelling efforts with focus on buildings of special interest for visitors. My models thus are concentrated of the down-town areas with its museums, government buildings, historical buildings, and other landmark sites. These include the Copenhagen harbour front, the area around the Royal Palace (Amalienborg), and the main commercial centres in the old parts of the city. Models also include sites (mainly castles) in and around Copenhagen, which typically will be included in the itinerary of any visitor. Special effort has been made to make a presentation of the renowned 'Tivoli Gardens' which is a ‘must’ for any first time visitor to the Danish Capital.
