The Darby Road project was commissioned as an experiment to show how small textural and physical details in these models can give buildings real high definition characteristics. Many of the photo textures used have been carefully edited to remove obstructions such as vehicles, walls, railings and other visual anomalies.
All photographic reference was taken from a public highway using passing shots where the camera is set to shoot continuously. This photographic technique really pushes photo-shop skills during texture development as multiple shots contain different elements that need to come together in the final model. http://www.earthhd.co.uk
