Concorde also set many other records, including the official F.A.I. "Westbound Around The World" and "Eastbound Around the World" world air speed records. The model was made for 3D Challenge 005.

I optimized the nose section of the plane (original by Don East) This is not for competition. It may not look like it, but I only did one side, compare the two. Look closely at the lines where the windshield meets the fuselage. There was also some extra geometry inside the body (a few loose lines too). Check out the areas I colored red, that was the bulk of the changes

I used a jet toy model that I got from Siggraph as reference. Basically, I started modeling 1/2 the jet and just copied it to complete the model. I was trying to achieve a very low poly count on this rather than trying to go for a more realistic high poly jet.
