The College of Engineering & Technology is one of the five Colleges of the Arab Academy for Science & Technology & Maritime Transport. The College is located at the Academy's Campus at Abu Qir (about 20 km from Down Town). The Abu Quir campus contains all supporting facilities including student housing, library, cyber café, restaurants, sport activities & Clinic.
The roots of the College extend back to the establishment of the Arab Academy in 1972, as the Marine Engineering Department was created. However, the Academic Studies & Electronic Engineering department started in 1975. Following the adoption of the American Credit Hour System in 1977, for all basic studies, the Bachelor of Engineering Program for both Marine Engineering & Electronic Engineering were approved in 1984 by the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities (SCEU) as equivalent to similar degrees offered by the Egyptian Universities.
Currently, the College of Engineering & Technology offers eight Engineering Programs that take a minimum duration, of 10 semesters (5 Academic Years). The College offers the following degrees,
