The hotel-restaurant "Zum Weißen Roß" (at the white horse) goes back to a hostel from 1488. Many stonemasonry and rich carvings on the truss were preserved for over 500 years in one of the nicest houses on the German Wine Route. In the spacious vault, fine wines from the best locations of Kallstadt can be enjoyed with typical Palatinate cuisine. Besides, Kallstadt is also known as "Ketchup city", because it is the birthplace of both parents of Henry J. Heinz.
