The Magnetograph hut was constucted at Cape Denison, Antarctica during the 1911-1914 Australian Antarctic Expedition led by Sir Douglas Mawson. It housed equipment used to measure the earth's magnetic field. The first attempted hut blew down in a storm so rocks were piled up around the hut to protect it from the strong wind. Modelled by Peter Olsen, Brighton-le-Sands, Sydney, Australia.
