- The building has a distinctive chamfered corner and exposed fire stairs which are reminiscent of the Commonwealth Bank Building on King William Street which was also designed by Woods Bagot.
- This building was designed towards the end of the 1980's boom and it is a leading example of the sleek, 'plastic' architecture favoured by many at the time.
