[MODEL UPDATED ON 12/31/11]. The eastern portion of the former World Trade Center, also known as the "East Bathtub" is an empty pit in which the former WTC 5 and 4 stood. Currently, construction of the new 3 WTC, 2 WTC and WTC Transportation Hub are continuing here at a very fast pace. Meanwhile, steel and concrete are being erected for the core of the 2 WTC. As of 12/31/11, all subfloors of the 2WTC have been completed, allowing work on the core to continue as planned. As of 12/31/11, the second sub-floor of the Transportation Hub is completed. As of 12/31/11, the 3WTC's core rose above street level, with work continuing on 3WTC's subfloors and underground superstructure. 2WTC and 3WTC are currently planned to be completed sometime in 2013 or 2014, depending on amount of tenants that are moving in.
