Considered as the biggest Orthodox church in Bucharest, the present church was built between 1852 - 1858, the sanctuary to another place on the middle of the eighteenth century. The new church building lasted from 1852 until 1858, was consecrated in 1860, and oil painting art is made around the church, and the veil, by the Roman painter Tatarascu, in 1862.
