A homemade lightbox to treat Seasonal Affective Disorder. I believe it to be safe and effective. Consult your medical and electrical professionals to be sure. I'm suggesting three Hampton Bay Brushed Nickel Finish 4-Light Bath Bars fro Home Depot, a total of $39. 12 EcoSmart 27 Watt (100W equivalent) Daylight, 2 Pack also from Home Depot, at $36 total. Plus a cord and a plug and scraps of wood. About $80 compared to $300 for a nice commercial box. Update: I made one last fall and used it all winter. Two of the bars mounted flat on plywood was plenty bright enough, almost painful to look at directly.
