The Bank of Mauritius Tower is currently the tallest building in Mauritius. Built from 2004 to 2006, it was designed by local architect Lampotang and Loebl Schlossman Hackl of Chicago. Constructed by General Construction and Group Five, the skyscraper is 98 metres tall (321 ft) to its roof and 124 metres tall (407 ft) to its antenna/spire. It is also the second tallest structure in Mauritius after the much taller 183 m (600 ft) Bigara Station Transmitter (guyed mast) in the upper Plaines Wilhems.
