Located adjacent to Freeway Park in downtown Seattle, Washington is the Washington State Convention and Trade Center. Construction for this project began in 1985, and the center opened on June 18, 1988. Between 1999 and 2001 there was an expansion that doubled the usable space, resulting in more than 200,000 square feet of usable exhibit space.
