The Leif Erikson Viking Ship sailed from Norway to Duluth in the 1920s. It is currently wrapped in plastic pending the construction of a shelter for the ship, some of the ornamentation is currently in storage. The ship is installed in its final location as can be seen here: http://www.leiferiksonvikingship.com/finalstage.htm. The white lenticular shape seen in current aerial imagery is a plastic covering protecting the ship pending the construction of an open sided building over the ship. See the bottom of this page: http://www.leiferiksonvikingship.com/Restoration%20Photos.htm for images of the completed ship.
