Shed constructed by Robert Falcon Scott's fateful British Antarctic Expedition of 1910-1913. The hut is located at Cape Evans on Ross Island in Antarctica, around 20km north of the Discovery Hut he built at McMurdo during his 1901-1904 expedition. He built the new hut for two reasons, firstly because the old hut was too cold and secondly because the sea around it had frozen over during his first expedition and trapped his ship. It was from this hut that Scott set out on his final fatal journey to the South Pole. Modelled by Peter Olsen, Brighton-le-Sands, Sydney, Australia.
