Forrest Hill houses is the Communications and Marketing Department of the University of Edinburgh.The complex incorporates part of the 1743 city workhouse as well as 19th and early 20th century buildings. The adjacent Drill Hall, constructed for use by the army in 1872, is currently used as a garage and occasional performance venue.
