State Bank of Mauritius (SBM) was established in 1973 and is the second largest bank of Mauritius. Completed in 1995, the State Bank Tower is the tall pyramid-shape rooftop office building which is located in Port Louis. Being the first and only steel frame skeleton highrise on the island, the building is currently the headquarters of the State Bank of Mauritius. Brown and white marble slabs cover the 82 m tall 16 storeys office tower block which is the forth tallest building in Mauritius. Designed by Campbell Reith Hill, suspended floors used composite metal deck fast-track construction technique.
