The city hall of Heideck was built from 1479 to 1481 during the reign of Ludwig IX. of Bayern-Landshut. Especially remarkable details on these building are the rare stepped gables. The building originally served as a corn barn. Since 1851 it is a city hall. Another interesting detail is the candleholder in the council chamber, a so called "Lüsterweibchen" (Anthropomorphic Chandelier) from the 16th century.
