State Street is located at the southern most tip of Manhattan. The street includes 3 skyscrapers and 2 lowrise buildings. The skyscrapers include: 1) 17 State Street, built in 1988 and rises to 165m (542ft). The building was designed by Emery Roth and Sons and is most noted for its distinct curved fascade. 2) One Battery Park Plaza, built in 1971 and rises to 151m (495ft). 3) One State Street Plaza, built in 1969 and stands at 140m tall (459ft). Other buildings on State Street include James Watson House which was built in 1793 and designed by John McComb Jr. It was the family home of Elizabeth Ann Seton, the first American Saint, and is now the site of a Roman Catholic shrine in her honor. The building is now a New York City Landmark.
