Coors Field is home to the Colorado Rockies, located in Denver, Colorado. It is named for the Coors Brewing Company of Golden, Colorado. This mile high venue was opened in 1995 as part of a six year plan to improve Denver’s sports venues, along with Mile High Stadium and the Pepsi Center. Coors Field uses brick and steel extensively. These combined materials give a feel of both a modern and classic baseball field. The playing field is located 21 feet below the street elevation. The field opens to the majestic Rocky Mountains, showcasing Colorado’s beauty. Model created by Adam Hecht.
