The stage in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania where the annual Groundhog Day celebration takes place. A select group of local top-hat and tuxedo wearing folks called the "Inner Circle" awaken Punxsutawney Phil at sunrise and discover whether he sees his shadow or not. If Phil sees his shadow, it means there will be 6 more weeks of winter. If he does not see his shadow, there will be an early spring! 2011: No shadow!
