The Church of St. Nikolai in Potsdam is considered the last work of Karl Friedrich Schinkel, who, however, didn't live to see his building finished. After he died in 1941, Ludwig Persius and then Friedrich August Stüler, who oversaw the completion of the dome. The building was heavily damaged by incendiary bombs in an attack carried out by RAF only weeks before the end of WW2, and has been under restoration since the 1950s - (c) Generalfledmarschall.
