The No.1 Shed in Gisborne's Inner Harbour began life as lighter shed, receiving and dispatching goods to and from region by lighter vessels. Together with the No.2 and 3 sheds, the shed provided dry storage for wool, grain and other essentials. Overtime, the use of the shed for storage fell away and the No.1 Shed now houses the Wharf Bar and Café (www.wharfbar.co.nz), barrister and solicitor Vicky Thorpe, Bronwyn Kaye Real Estate (www.bronwynkaye.com) and the newly refurbished Lone Star Bar and Café (www.lonestar.co.nz)
