A section of the huge Mill Complex known as Boott Mills, located along a powerful stretch of the Merrimack River in downtown Lowell's historic district. Part of this section is used as a museum and exhibit space, dedicated to the history of the textile mill era in New England - run by the National Park Service. There is a working trolley that is housed in the far end of the building that runs through downtown Lowell in good weather.
