Situated on the south side of The National Mall in Washington, D.C. the Freer Gallery of Art houses East Asian Art. Opened in 1923, the entrance of the building is illuminated by Doric columns situated on the façade. Adjoining the gallery is the recently opened Arthur M. Sackler Gallery, adding to the already extensive collection of Asian antiquities.
