Projetada por Oscar Niemeyer, é uma de suas obras mais conhecidas. Foi inaugurada em 31 de maio de 1970, quando seus pilares ainda não eram pintados e os vidros eram transparentes. Após uma intervenção em 1990, vitrais de Marianne Peretti foram instalados e as colunas foram pintadas de branco. O conjunto arquitetonico localiza-se no eixo monumental e possui ainda um batistério e um campanário. Designed by Oscar Niemeyer, it is one of his most famous projects. It was first opened in 31st of May, 1970, when its pilars were not painted and all the glass was transparent. After an intervention in 1990, tainted glass from Marianne Peretti were instaled, together with the pilars being painted in white. The architectonic complex is located on the monumental axis, and it also has a baptistery and a bell tower.
