Another fine example of Richardson's signature style, Richardsonian Romanesque, the building's facade is made of Milford granite, random ashlar, and dark reddish brown brownstone trim. The fireplace in the reading room was designed by architect Stanford White. Modeled by Nathan Kohrmann.
