London Bridge links the City of London to Southwark (London District), across the River Thames. It is situated between Tower Bridge to the east and Cannon Street Railway Bridge to the west. The construction of the bridge started in 1967 and was officially opened by Queen Elizabeth II on 17 March 1973. Tower Bridge is often mistakenly referred to as "London Bridge".
