Leominster is a small market town in the Northern part of Herefordshire county in the West of England near the Welsh border. On the East side of Broad Street is the M.E. Fletcher tobaconiosts and news agents. Dated 1600 on the front, this is a fine example of robust square-panel timber framing. There is a jetty at each level, including the gables, although that above the ground floor has been underbuilt with a 19th century shop-front. The curved braces in the gable are almost the only concession to decoration. (Special thanks to Mr. Duncan James, the real expert on the history of Leominster Buildings, for advice on building write-ups.)
