Formerly known as the Hartford Civic Center, the XL Center is owned by its home city of Hartford, CT and is a convention and sports complex. The XL Center is currently ranked the 28th largest arena in college basketball and is the full time home to the UConn Huskies men's and women's basketball teams, the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL, and the New York Rangers of the NHL. Ran by Madison Square Garden, the XL Center opened on January 17, 1980.
