In Summer 2009, Portland Public Schools (PPS) completed the first large-scale solar project undertaken by a school district in Oregon. The 143kW thin-film solar PV system installed at Scott produces 136,492 kWh/yr (49% of annual site usage). The project was developed in partnership with Gerding Edlen Sustainable Solutions, Northwest Solar Solutions LLC, and Snyder Roofing of Oregon LLC.
