Multi-purpose hall in Gqunube Green Ecovillage built using rammed earth and timber harvested from site. The building is carefully orientated to ensure solar heating of the mass structure in winter but to be in full shading in summer. The building has a didactic function and visually shows the inter-relatedness of man with the animal and vegetable environments by virtue of an interlinked circular cattle kraal and medicinal herb permaculture garden. Its primary use is for worship and training in environmental responsibility.
