Введён в эксплуатацию в 1953. Металлический, цельносварной, балочной конструкции, на кессонном основании. Протяжённость — 1543м, состоит из 26-ти пролётов, из которых 4 - судоходные. Ширина проезжей части — 21м, ширина тротуаров по 3 м. Является старейшим из ныне действующих автотранспортных мостовых переходов, связующим левый и правый берег Днепра в Киеве.
