The 4th Street Lofts (aka Sieg Iron Lofts) is a warehouse conversion (done by the Alexander Company) that opened in January 2007. Inside there is 53 apartments, covered parking and rooftop patio. In addition, the courtyard between the 2 buildings is one of the most unique places in the downtown with exposed octogonal beams and corregated metal and brick walls. The 4th Street Lofts is actually 2 buildings both built around 1900. One of the buildings is a 6-story structure with a 2-story tower on top and the other is a 3-story structure. The Sieg Iron Company originally inhabited this building and since has been home to Ewert & Richter Fireproof Storage, Tri-City Radio Supply and Roederer Transfer and Storage. The ground floor has been used for many automobile storage and repair shops including Grampp Motors, Kurtz Body Shop, Harrington Garage and The Cave Auto Repair.
