The Fukushima II Nuclear Power Plant, or Fukushima Daini, is a nuclear power plant located in the town of Naraha and Tomioka in the Futaba District of Fukushima Prefecture. Like the Fukushima I, 11.5 kilometres (7.1 mi) to the north, it is run by the Tokyo Electric Power Company. After the 11 March 2011 earthquake and tsunami, all four units were successfully automatically shut down, but cooling water pumps at Units 1, 2 and 4 were damaged by the tsunami. An evacuation order was issued, because of possible radioactive contamination.
