The wtc was completed on April 4th 1973 and was the tallest building in the world when completed.They were built and designed by Minyouru Yamasaki.On February 26th 1993 the terrorists tested the tower's strenth by blowing up a bomb in the parking garage.The terrorists eventually destroyed the twin towers by crashing two airplanes into the towers on September 11th 2001.
