A rather high poly (96x96 segment) sphere with a spherically projected Earth image. Plugin used for projection is Whaat's (Dale Marten's) "UVTools.rb": http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=180&t=10404 Image "borrowed" from the website http://www.oera.net/How2/TextureMaps.htm (thanks). Since the image is 2500 pixel wide, best shown if you enable "Maximum texture size" in your preferences > OpenGL tab (if your computer and graphic card can cope with it). Model with high poly sphere and large texture is 2Mb+
