Wright found rooms in Victorian-era homes boxy and confining. The solution was his so-called Prairie-style house, marked by low horizontal lines and open interior spaces. The Dana-Thomas House is a fine example of this stylistic innovation. The home, designed for a wealthy client, contained a two-story living room, a library, an art gallery, and a bowling alley in the basement. Model by Austin Metzger.
