Originally indented to host the Hornets, the Charlotte Arena is now home to the NBA’s Bobcats. Although primarily used as a home court to the local NBA team, with seating for more than 19,000, the arena is a multipurpose entertainment venue conveniently located in the heart of downtown Charlotte, North Carolina. The Time Warner Cable Arena, also called the Uptown Arena, opened it doors in 2005 with a grand opening celebration performance by the Rolling Stones. The Time Warner Cable Arena will host the 2012 Democratic National Convention.
