The cloisters and library of the Salisbury Cathedral were completed near the year 1280. This is my second model in the Salisbury Cathedral complex. The entire Salisbury Cathedral model is going to take a long time, so I am publishing these individual building models to mark progress. I used very simple geometry with complex transparent textures to give the illusion of complexity in the cloister bays, facing the grassy inner garth. There are also several transparent doors on the outer walls of the cloisters, revealing the cloister bays inside. The visitors entrance is in the west wall of this model. The passageway to the east connects to my Chapter House model, which is also available in the 3D Warehouse.

Complexity is based on the number of polygons in the model. More complex models render more slowly in Google Earth. Learn more about this on our knowledge base.
