Completed in 1958 by architects Cingria, Maurice and Duret, the ice skating stadium of "Les Vernets" was to become the first element of the "Centre sportif des Vernets" that now includes an olympic swimming pool and another ice rink. The initial project could accommodate 10'000 fans, 4'000 seating in the main tribune that gives all its expressiveness to the architectural composition. The ice rink has from its debut till today been home of the local ice hockey team, known as Genève-Servette Hockey Club or Geneva Eagles. http://www.geneva-hockey.ch/
