Architects: Delugan-Meissl - Built: 1996-2000 - The Mischek Tower is located in the 22nd district of Vienna between the UNO City and the Reichsbrücke, facing the Donaupark to the north. It is part of the Donau-City, a previously undeveloped area, and now a location with office buildings and homes, places of research, leisure facilities and venues for events.
The tower itself was planned by Delugan Meissl Associated Architects (co-founded by Roman Delugan and Elke Delugan-Meissl). Construction started in 1996 and was completed in the summer of 2000.
The building with its 35 floors and a height of 110m (360ft) is the tallest apartment building in Austria at the moment. The client “Mischek Bau AG” even states it is the world’s tallest building constructed with prefabricated components. It contains in total about 500 subsidised and privately financed apartments. - Model by: Gregor Reiss
