Designed by Noah Weinthal From: Bethesda, United States Shelter location: United States Date Accepted: August 27, 2009 On Florida's Sanibel Island, there is a near constant sea breeze. The unique teardrop shape of the body of this shelter is placed on a disc allowing it to gently swivel to take full advantage of the wind regardless of direction. Nets keep out the mosquitoes. The sand colored exterior plates ensure the shelter does not encroach visually on the landscape, while reclaimed materials inside minimize environmental impact.
