Designed by Sjoerd Tasseron
From: Delft, Netherlands
Shelter location: Netherlands
Date submitted: August 24, 2009
These concrete caissons are left over from the construction of the Dutch Water Works after the flooding of the South-West part of The Netherlands in 1953. The shelter is attached to one like a parasite. It has got a splendid panorama view on ground floor and the roof terrace and a lower level which provides shelter during a storm. The construction consists of rusted steel plates from the neighboring shipwreck.
