De Naald (= Needle) is an obelisk located at the Zwolseweg in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, a monument that is placed at the 9th of March 1901. It was a present of the inhabitants of Apeldoorn to the married couple queen Wilhelmina and prince Hendrik. At the same time it was a tribute to the parents of queen Wilhemina, king Willem III and queen Emma.
Around Queensday 2009 the momunt was in the news after a car had come to a stop at de Naald, after he had been driven through the public. Eight people have been killed at this possible attack to the Royal Family.
