This is an animated version of the Disneyland Monorail model which is in the Google Earth 3D layer. The animation covers the entire length of the track and contains around 100,000 separate pieces of positioning data (One animation step per metre of the 4,000m long track x 5 independently animated monorail carriages x 5 data items for each - latitude, longitude, altitude, heading and tilt.) NOTE!!! Google Earth has trouble executing the KMZ file so download the collada version (which is identical but called ZIP instead of KMZ), open in Winzip and extract all files and folders (tick "Use Folder Names" when extracting so it creates sub-folders named "track" and "train"). Double click the DOC.KML file to run it. Turn off the 3D layer before loading the model. Model takes up to a minute to load so be patient. It is worth the wait. After loading click on the model name under Places for operating instructions. GE version 5 is assumed. Modelled by Peter Olsen, Brighton-le-Sands, Sydney, Australia.
